What is Dog Day Camp?

Day Camp is a fun, interactive opportunity for your dog to play with other dogs while you are away. Our Day Camp Counselors are well-trained in observation of behavior and social interaction between these furry friends, and will place your pet into the appropriate group for a maximum day of activity and friendship with other canine buddies. Upon checking your dog in for day camp, let us know what he or she likes to do for fun. Does she like a brush in the sun? Does he like to play catch with a ball or Frisbee? Let us know, and we will make sure your dog has the time of his life doing the things he loves to do!

Are there any requirements for Day Camp?

Any dog-friendly, spayed or neutered pet can play in day camp. Your pooch will go out in a class with no more than 10 dogs. There are always at least 2 counselors supervising each day camp session. Your dog must be current on all of his or her vaccines as well. Therefore, he or she should be up to date on the rabies vaccine, distemper/lepto vaccine, bordetella booster, and should have had a fecal exam in the last year.

What if my dog doesn’t like to play with other dogs?

If your dog isn’t prone to enjoy the company of other dogs, we offer Playschool. Playschool gives your dog the opportunity to play one-on-one with our kennel staff. He or she will play the same amount of time, however, there will be no other dogs in the yard.

What will my dog be doing while he isn’t playing in day camp?

While our day camp guests are not playing in the day camp yard, they are given the opportunity to rest in their indoor-outdoor runs. Our runs are 4x4 on the inside and 4x11 on the outside. Weather permitting, your dog has both indoor and outdoor access throughout the day.

Will my dog be able to play outside if the weather is bad?

Unless the weather is a hazard to your pet’s safety, your dog will get to go out for day camp every single day. Our day camp yard is equipped with an awning that provides shade and shelter from the rain. During the summer months, there is a pool for your dog to play in, and there are misters throughout the yard to aid in keeping your dog cool. During the winter months, our day campers love to play in the cooler weather, and have even been known to enjoy an occasional snow day! Keep in mind, our kennel staff is very attentive to each day camper’s needs. If your pet ever shows signs suggesting that he or she no longer wishes to be outside, our kennel staff will ensure that he or she gets to go inside promptly. .

Can I see the day camp facilities before signing my dog up?

Absolutely! If you would like to tour our facility, you may do so Monday through Friday between the hours of 10 am and 4pm. It is best that you call ahead and arrange a time for your tour so we are fully prepared for your tour. Come on in and see what we have to offer your furry family!
